Today, we want the students keep working on the topics about China.
1. What do you know about China? 2.What do you want to know about China in our Chinese class? Ask students write down their answers on the notebook, then have a group discussion with their partners. Then ask every group send out one student to represent their group ideas with all of the class together. First : students will be in different groups and talk about : What do you know about China?
Teacher will hand out the work sheets and students have to fill in them and hand in. Second: We will read an article about " Family Life". Students will talk about " What is the difference between Chinese Family Life and American Family Life? They will finish the work sheet and hand in to teacher. Third: Teacher will hand out a work sheet: Rural Life Versus City Life. Students will talk together: Do you think in China Rural Life is More difficult than City Life? Could you give me several reasons about that ? Then students will finish their work sheets and hand back to teacher. Six Grade, Seven Grade and Eight Grade :
Today, we will do two interesting Chinese games: 1. Learn how to write Good Luck in Chinese character: Fu - 福 I will introduce the Chinese " Fu " " 福 ” character and culture to all students. Students will have a chance to write the character on their red paper and post them on their home's windows. 2. We will learn how to use chopsticks. After practicing with group members, we will have a chopsticks game together. Welcome to Carroll Magnet School Chinese Class!
